Department of Ophthalmology at Medical College , Meerut is one of the important Ophthalmic centers in Western U.P. It came into existance, in 1970, and since then continuously grown under the able guidance of different experienced Ophthalmologists. The department was established with the starting of L.L.R.M. Medical College under the headship of Prof. I.N. Raizada. After him Dr. Y.P. Singh took over as the Head of the Department. Again Prof. Raizada came as the Head followed by Dr. Arun Mathur & Dr. A.K. Sood. Now Dr. Sandeep Mithal is the Head of the Department under whose able guidance Department is progressing steadily.
